The entrance to the trail is located right next to the Dom na alpinista and the Vratitsa Pass. It takes less than an hour to walk and combines the presentation of cultural and historical heritage with a pleasant walk near the majestic rocks of the gorge.
The route is built in the Gradishte area, where, according to historical records, the town of Vratsa originated. In the second half of the 4th century BC , there was a Thracian settlement in this area. Its creation was linked to the protection of the road leading to the copper mines in the Balkans. The route introduces visitors to the excavations, the purpose of the individual sites, and the rich cultural and historical heritage from the 4th century BC , to the 14th century. Wooden railings and stairs have been installed, allowing people of all ages to visit the archaeological site. Numerous information boards have been placed with extensive information about the preserved historical and archaeological sites. Rest areas have been built, allowing tourists to enjoy the majesty of the Vrachanski Rocks, the highest on the Balkan Peninsula.
